A Therapist’s Advice
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) who sees a limited number of clients within my private practice in the state of California. Even though I am a LMFT and LPCC, this website is not intended to provide mental health treatment nor does it constitute a client/therapist relationship.
A client/therapist relationship would only be established after an initial consultation and a signed informed consent. I do not offer therapy nor provide diagnosis via this website. The information provided on this site is not a replacement for the therapeutic relationship in psychotherapy.
Yin Yoga Asanas
I am not a certified yoga teacher, just a devoted yin yoga enthusiast and practitioner. It is your responsibility to assess whether you are able to do a pose. The practice of yoga requires you – the practitioner – to gauge the safety of your practice within your physical limitations. Please remember that yoga can feel uncomfortable at times, but it should never be painful. Make sure to always pay attention to what your body is telling you and only work within your personal boundaries.
I suggest that you consult with a physician before beginning any exercise. By taking part in an exercise, you agree that you do so at your own risk, are voluntarily participating in the activity, assume all risks of injury to yourself, and agree to release, acquit and forever discharge Sara Cloostermans from any and all claims or causes of action, known or unknown, arising out of negligence.
